Covéa Insurance has again been granted Gold accreditation by Investors In People (IIP).
First gaining the IIP Gold accreditation in 2014, Covéa Insurance has been granted the distinction for a further three years after being assessed in July 2017. IIP – the international standard for people management –interviewed 151 employees across all levels and areas of Covéa Insurance’s business.
“We are immensely proud to achieve Gold accreditation for a second time. We have continued to strengthen how we support and empower our people with extensive development opportunities and platforms to engage and involve everyone,” said director of HR & learning Lisa Meigh.
She added: “It’s fantastic to receive this independent endorsement that Covéa Insurance is a great place to work.” Achieving Gold accreditation, according to the insurer, shows its “genuine commitment” to helping staff fulfil their potential.
As an external benchmark that measures employee-centred success indicators, the IIP framework looks into recruitment, training, engagement, and the development of employees. The accreditation is internationally recognised.
IIP assessor Julia Stokes commented: “I was blown away by the amazing feedback I received from employees I interviewed, it’s clear that Covéa Insurance has created a buzzing and energetic culture, fantastic for such a large business, in which employees are encouraged to develop and excel in their careers.”
Covéa Insurance – which specialises in commercial, motor, high net worth, property, and protection insurance – employs around 1,500 people across 10 offices throughout the UK. It plans to hire 100 more by the end of 2017 amid an ongoing expansion.
