To further maximise the benefits of the apprenticeship levy scheme, which Covéa Insurance strongly supports, the insurer has created an apprenticeship levy lead role within the firm.
Aaron Jeffries, who has been with Covéa Insurance since 2010, is moving on from his designation as learning & development partner to assume the new position. He will be in charge of developing “tangible and exciting routes to qualification” aimed at attracting diverse talent, in line with the insurer’s organic growth.
“We’re passionate about creating an environment in which all of our employees can thrive and achieve their full potential, whether that’s new apprentices just starting out on their career journey, or existing employees who want to develop their skills,” said Lisa Meigh, director of HR & learning at Covéa Insurance. “We’ve already laid down solid foundations for the levy, and Aaron will be responsible for building on these to ensure that our people can reach their true potential through a variety of engaging and supportive learning pathways.”
The firm, which has Gold accreditation from Investors In People, has welcomed 16 new apprentices across a variety of roles since the implementation of the scheme. As for existing staff, Covéa Insurance said 24 are undergoing a new leadership training course this quarter.
With 10 offices in the UK, the insurer employs around 1,500 people. It specialises in commercial, motor, high net worth, property, and protection insurance.
