Covéa Insurance has strengthened its specialist protection team with the addition of Matthew Jones as key account manager.
Jones will support the company’s continued growth in the life market by exploring new distribution channels and developing appropriate product propositions for partners to meet customer needs.
Bringing extensive knowledge of the protection market, Jones comes from
AIG Life where he has experience of growing intermediated distribution and working with affinity partnerships.
Jones also previously worked at several major industry players such as
AXA,
Ageas and Prudential.
“As a talented individual with significant experience in the life market, he will be instrumental in helping us to achieve our objectives of profitable growth with first class product and service delivery in the protection arena,” said Ben
Mercer, head of relationship management for protection.
Covéa said Jones’ addition to the team is the latest in a series of appointments across the business that signifies the insurer’s ongoing investment in attracting industry talent and the strengthening of its entire proposition.
The insurer said it is broadening its offering to the protection market, building on its current strengths and improving its product range, systems and processes as part of its strategy for long-term growth.
