Admiral Group Plc’s Llansamlet premises were closed until yesterday afternoon after the site had to be deep-cleaned following an employee’s COVID-19 diagnosis.
“We can confirm that an Admiral staff member in our Llansamlet office in Swansea has been diagnosed with COVID-19 and is self-isolating as per government advice,” WalesOnline quoted a spokesperson for the firm as stating.
“The well-being of our staff is of paramount importance, so we took a cautious approach to this situation. This means we closed our Llansamlet office in Swansea and sent everyone home for 72 hours from 2pm on Friday, September 04, in order to carry out sanitisation.”
Additionally, those who have been in contact with the Admiral colleague are also expected to comply with the relevant procedures.
In late April, the Cardiff-headquartered insurer announced that its entire workforce was receiving full salaries and that no employee was being furloughed.
