Mission Underwriters has announced the launch of its latest managing general agent, Carrow Insurance, bringing the group’s MGA portfolio total to 25. The new entity will be led by former AmTrust International chief executive Ronan Conboy (pictured).
Carrow, which will open for business in the coming weeks, will primarily target warranty, accident & health, and income protection markets across the UK and Europe.
Backed by A-rated capacity through Accelerant, the company aims to utilise a broad network of brokers and distribution partners. The new MGA also has ambitions to expand into additional insurance lines by 2025 as part of its long-term growth strategy.

Adrian Morgan, CEO of Mission Underwriters for the UK and Europe, noted: “Mission doesn’t just invest in businesses; we bet on visionaries who can reshape the insurance landscape.
“Ronan’s track record of driving global growth at AmTrust International isn’t just impressive, it’s exactly the kind of disruptive thinking the industry needs. He’s not here to follow the market, but to push it forward.
“With Carrow, we’re not looking for incremental gains. We’re backing Ronan to challenge the status quo and deliver the kind of value that makes clients and competitors alike sit up and take notice.”
