It has been two decades since Commercial Express began trading… and while the economic climate has not been rosy, the managing general agent has reasons to celebrate. In fact, founder and managing director Duncan Pritchard is filled with pride as he looks back at the MGA’s journey.
Now employing more than 50 people, Commercial Express started out with just Pritchard and another colleague. Previously based in Castlegate Way in Dudley, the independent insurance provider grew to a workforce of about 20 employees before moving to its Brierley Hill headquarters on The Waterfront in 2014.
“We have expanded considerably and at a time when other industries are crashing, we are achieving continued success,” said the MD, who founded the business in 1999 alongside Sarah Pritchard. “Nothing is possible without our skilled professionals who provide an excellent customer service.”
Earlier this year Commercial Express launched CE Learning, which provides free training courses to the firm’s insurance brokers. According to the West Midlands company, it is currently the only MGA to offer its own online learning hub.
“I am extremely proud of everything that Commercial Express has achieved over the last 20 years,” stated Pritchard.
