For West Midlands-based MGA Commercial Express, the year of 2019 – its 20th anniversary – has been one of remarkable growth as it has expanded and added to its workforce. Now, it has announced two further additions to its line-up.
Incoming are Mark Humphreys (pictured left) and Helen Holyoake (pictured right).
Humphreys takes the role of senior technical underwriter having built up 16 years of experience in the industry in positions such as underwriting development specialist at Legal & General and household underwriting manager for both KGM and Canopius.
“My role at Commercial Express includes product development and review, account analysis and underwriting support to the wider business,” he said.
“I wanted to work for the company because of its great reputation. There is a lot of potential for growth and I wanted to bring my expertise and experience to support this. I hope to also gain a better understanding of commercial lines.”
Meanwhile, Holyoake takes on the role of head of risk and compliance – bringing 23 years’ worth of experience across both personal lines and SME products. She has spent 10 years in risk and compliance roles – including a management position at Towergate Insurance.
“My responsibilities are to ensure that the business is fully complying with all regulation, and that risks facing the business are identified and managed effectively,” she said. “Regulation is ever changing, so I’m looking forward to working with all areas of the business to maintain compliance and embed any future changes that are on the horizon.”
