Specialist commercial insurance provider
CNA Hardy has appointed a new head of small businesses as it embarks on an “ambitious plan” to transform the way it works with such firms.
Staring November 06, industry veteran Stuart Middleton will be responsible for developing and building out a profitable growth and distribution strategy for the company’s small business portfolio.
Middleton has held several leadership roles in the industry throughout his career, including chief underwriting officer (CUO), Europe, at
Hiscox and most recently, CUO and joint managing director of EXIN’s wholesale division, based in Barcelona.
“Stuart’s wealth of experience and expertise will enable us to refine our underwriting and pricing strategies, and focus on developing an effective, customer focused service that utilises technology solutions and a service platform to drive efficiency,” said company CEO David Brosnan. Middleton will report directly to Brosnan.
CNA Hardy serves clients within both the Lloyd’s and company markets. Offerings include risk management, information services, underwriting, risk control and claims administration. According to its figures, the company is the eighth largest commercial insurance writer and the 13th largest property and casualty company in the US.
