The Clear Group has acquired Surrey-based Vision Insurance Services as part of the insurance intermediary’s ongoing South East England expansion.
Founded in 2010, Vision has built a strong reputation across the region, managing £10 million in gross written premium from its base in Bagshot. The company caters to a diverse clientele, from sole proprietors and small businesses to larger corporate clients. Over the years, Vision has also expanded through broker acquisitions, enhancing its market position and service offering.
The deal, financial terms of which were not disclosed, will see managing director David MacKinnon (pictured) and finance director Claire MacKinnon, along with their 17-member team, integrate into Clear.
David MacKinnon, who co-founded the firm, highlighted the decision to join Clear: “Our business attracted significant interest from potential buyers, so it was vitally important we considered carefully what was best for Vision, our people, and clients.
“Clear’s exciting growth strategy, its commitment to investing in its people, and its unique culture made it the standout proposition. We are looking forward to working with our new colleagues at such an exciting time.”
Meanwhile Clear chief executive Mike Edgeley revealed how the transaction came about.
He noted: “We have been talking to David and Claire for some time, and it was clear from the outset that they had ambitious growth plans for their business through organic growth and acquisitions. We were both certain their business would be a great fit with ours at some point in the future.
“We are thrilled they have decided the timing is right for them to join forces with Clear. Investing in, and supporting regional brokers, is an integral part of our strategy to build a sustainable and long-term business.
“David, Claire, and the Vision team run a quality business, driven by a very capable team through strong organic and inorganic growth, and will be a brilliant addition to our fast-growing business. Their culture mirrors ours, and therefore I’m sure they will thrive from being part of the Clear family.”
Clear’s recent acquisitions in the region include R T Waters Limited in Leatherhead.
