The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) has today announced the launch of a series of professional focused CPD conferences for members working within the insurance profession.
Announced in association with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), the conferences will be free to members and are meant to coincide with the launch of the Insurance Distribution Directive on October 01, 2018, covering topics such as cyber, Grenfell, the transformation of the profession in the digital age, the future of employment, and more.
“We are looking forward to joining forces with the FCA to host these Professional Focus CPD conferences,” said Lee Travis, partnerships and member engagement director for the CII. “The Insurance Distribution Directive, which comes into force in October, requires brokers and employees of insurance companies that sell insurance to do at least 15 hours of training and CPD per year as well as other key changes. These conferences will provide members with details of this new legislation and will help them to understand what is required of them along with the opportunity for discussion around the most up-to-date developments in our sector.”
The programme of conferences takes place around the country on the following dates:
September 2018
Bristol 5th, London 12th, Scotland 18th
October 2018
Birmingham 18th, Ipswich 30th
November 2018
Huddersfield 13th, Newcastle 20th
