Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) chief executive Alan Vallance is reportedly the frontrunner to succeed Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) CEO Michael Izza.
A Sky News report cited Vallance as the likely replacement at the helm of ICAEW just a little over a year after he took on the top post at the CII.
According to the news outlet, the CII did not respond to a request for comment while a spokesperson for ICAEW declined to provide a statement.
Vallance’s credentials include time spent at the Royal Institute of British Architects and the Law Society.
Earlier this year, ICAEW was reprimanded by The Insolvency Service for not monitoring whether an insolvency practitioner who had been prohibited from taking on any new insolvency appointments was adhering to the restrictions.
