Chubb UK has rebranded its technology industry practice to now include media, having rolled out a media insurance product in the country.
“The launch of our new media product and the rebranding of our technology and media practice demonstrates our commitment to this fast-growing sector,” Louise Joyce (pictured), head of industry practices for EMEA at Chubb, said in an emailed release.
“Chubb has a successful track record of working with customers within the media industry and has developed a comprehensive understanding of their needs. As this industry continues to grow and becomes increasingly specialised, we want to better enable businesses operating in this sector to withstand some of the many and varied challenges they may face.”
According to Chubb’s announcement, the expanded unit will be overseen by Joyce. Technology and media industry practice leader Alex Smith, meanwhile, will head a specialist underwriting team.
The bespoke media offering, which will sit alongside the insurer’s growing book of technology business, spans media liability, cyber, property, terrorism, casualty, and legal expenses. Aimed at middle market and multinational media companies and consultants, the proposition also features value-added services such as a free legal advice helpline that is manned by senior media lawyers.
Aside from technology and media, Chubb’s other UK industry practices are life science, real estate, and climate tech.
