Chubb UK and Ireland has appointed Chris Savvas as head of professional indemnity (PI) – promoting him from senior PI underwriter effective immediately.
Primarily responsible for managing Chubb UKI’s PI portfolio and business, Savvas will be based in London and report to Grant Cairns, financial lines manager, UKI.
Savvas, who has over a decade of industry experience, started his career at
Travelers as a graduate trainee. There he held a variety of underwriting positions for seven years.
Previously based in Dubai, Savvas ran
QBE’s MENA (Middle East and North Africa) portfolio for three and a half years before joining Chubb in December 2016.
Cairns commented: “It is a testament to the quality of our underwriting talent pool that we are, once again, able to promote from within the organisation. I very much look forward to continuing to work with Chris in his new capacity as he develops this important line of business.”
