Chubb will be welcoming a new face to the firm in January next year – with Jonathan Poole making the switch from Tokio Marine.
The current head of operations at TMKI is set to move into the role of head of middle market for the UK and Ireland, succeeding Sara Mitchell who took the position of division president for Chubb’s UK and Ireland retail business back in April. Based in London he will have responsibility for Chubb’s middle market strategy including sales and distribution, as well as product development and its underwriting centres.
“I am delighted that Jonathan is joining us to head our Middle Market segment in the UK and Ireland,” said Mitchell. “This a hugely important part of our business and I know Jonathan’s experience, understanding and insights will help to drive continued growth and deliver results. He is highly respected in the industry and I am very much looking forward to working with him as we move into 2020.”
Poole boasts close to 30 years’ experience in the industry including time at Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group holding a host of roles such as global head of underwriting operations for MS Amlin.
