Major insurer Chubb has assigned a global role to Francis Hernandez, its current entertainment insurance manager in the UK and Ireland.
Promoted to the role of entertainment manager for overseas general insurance, Hernandez will now run Chubb’s international business that provides cover for event cancellation, photography and film and TV production.
Hernandez will report to Bill Puleo, head of custom industry solutions, overseas general insurance. He will continue to be based in London to retain his responsibilities for Chubb’s market portfolio in the UK and its capital.

According to Puleo, the total value of the global entertainment and media market is projected to surpass US$2 trillion by 2019.
“This is a market with huge – and ever expanding – value, and at the same time rapidly evolving risks which require a specialist approach and expertise,” he said.
Puleo added: “Frankie, who has led our regional entertainment business with great skill, has the market knowledge and experience to ensure that we provide brokers and companies internationally with the comprehensive cover they need and deserve in this high-risk, high-tech industry.”
Hernandez has been in the industry for nearly three decades, including 24 years in the area of entertainment insurance. He joined Chubb in 2010 as European entertainment manager and specialisms manager for the UK and Ireland.
