Birmingham-based Louise Joyce (pictured), who most recently served as life sciences manager for the UK and Ireland (UK&I) at Chubb, has been promoted to UK&I industry practices head effective immediately.
Chubb’s industry practices consist of life sciences, technology, entertainment, real estate, and media. In her new role, Joyce will have overall responsibility for the strategy, execution, and performance of all five in UK&I – succeeding Karen Strong, who has left the business.
Replacing Joyce as life sciences manager is Vicki D'Silva, while a UK&I technology practice manager has been appointed in the form of Christopher Daniel.
“I am delighted that we have been able to make these key appointments from within our existing team as this demonstrates the depth of expertise and experience we have at Chubb,” said Mark Roberts, property & casualty chief underwriting officer, UK&I.
“I look forward to working with Louise, Vicki, and Christopher in their new roles as we continue to grow this important and specialised part of our business into 2020.”
