The world’s largest publicly traded property and casualty insurance company,
Chubb has appointed Hannah Hosking and Steve Bear as head of distribution - independent brokers UK&I and independent broker team manager - London corporate, respectively.
Hosking, who left
Hiscox last year, will be responsible for managing and driving forward the Chubb UK&I broker proposition. Based in Birmingham, the former
AXA and
Aon executive will oversee the UK&I business development managers who focus on independent brokers.
“Hannah’s valuable industry expertise will help us to continue to deliver and grow with our important panel of independent brokers in the UK&I and execute Chubb’s multiline business strategy into the independent broker community through structured sales and distribution,” commented Sara Mitchell, head of corporate division, UK&I.
Bear, meanwhile, is taking on a newly created role at Chubb where he has worked since 2009. He has had management responsibility for the middle-market financial lines D&O (directors and officers) portfolio.
Reporting to Emma Bartolo, corporate regional manager - London, Bear will be responsible for driving financial results across the UK capital within the independent broker group – with direct line management responsibility for core lines of business including property, casualty, combined package, and financial lines. He was with
AIG prior to Chubb.
“This appointment is testament to our commitment to developing strong relationships with our independent brokers in London, and ensuring that our sales and distribution model is strongly aligned with our underwriting capability and product offering,” noted Bartolo.
She added: “Steve’s role will ensure that underwriting service delivery and day-to-day trading with our important independent brokers, is consistent and relevant.”
