Chaucer has announced the appointment of Harriet Sharp as head of political violence and crisis management. Sharp succeeds Andrew Bauckham, who is leaving the company after 23 years.
Sharp has more than 13 years of industry experience, having begun her career at Amlin. She joined Chaucer in 2017. Sharp is featured regularly in Gracechurch London’s Leading Underwriter Survey, which is voted for by London market underwriters. In 2019 and 2020, she was voted the top female underwriter in the market.
Bauckham joined Chaucer in 1998 and established the company’s global civil unrest and terrorism facultative and treaty portfolio in 2006. He has played an integral role in creating one of the market’s strongest political violence and crisis management teams, Chaucer said.
