Following on from the globally recognised Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) membership designations, there’s now a new classification – one that will further demonstrate executives’ achievement, knowledge, and professional aspiration.
Now available for members holding the Certificate in Insurance, including the relevant financial protection and customer service in insurance exam units, is the Cert CII (Protection) designation. The addition was brought about by the CII’s collaboration with the Women in Protection Group (WIP) and the Protection Distributors Group (PDG).
The membership designation for insurance and protection providers and intermediaries communicates not only an individual’s technical expertise and know-how but also the commitment to the CII’s professional standards and ethics.
The Cert CII (Protection) designation is available to those who have successfully completed the Certificate in Insurance, as well as the R05 financial protection and IF9 customer service in insurance exam units – with pathway routes such as IF1 + R05 + IF9 + active member of CII, and LM1 + LM2+ R05 + IF9 + active member.
“We have seen growing demand from the protection sector for a bespoke qualification that tests and validates the skills needed when advising in this area,” said CII’s Simon Graham, director of learning and assessment. “This certificate has been designed to recognise those working in the sector and give them an opportunity to enhance their knowledge and deepen their skillset.
“It is independently validated and internationally recognised, so that those who gain it can take it with them throughout their career.”
