Personal finance students have received a welcome lift amid the coronavirus crisis with the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) offering free digital study texts and revision aid updates.
With many worried that they might not be able to sit their assessment before the end of August this year, the CII has said it will add a 2020 to 2021 digital study text to any personal finance student that can’t take the assessment before the expiry date of the existing study text. The offer will also apply to those enrolling between now and the current expiry date.
Gill White, learning and assessment director of the CII, noted that the move is being made to coincide with the UK government’s announcement around stopping non-essential contact and unnecessary travel.
“The CII takes seriously our role supporting you, your business and the members of the public you serve,” she said.
“We want to reduce the worries of our members and make it as easy as possible for them to continue with their professional studies while they follow government guidance to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
“By giving students a free renewal to their digital text I hope we can alleviate at least one concern they may have in these unprecedented times and help them continue to develop the knowledge needed to serve the public as well as advance their professional careers.”
