Loss adjusting business Charles Taylor Adjusting (CTA) has appointed Glyn Symonds as director of operations for its new office in Marseille, France. The move is part of the firm’s strategy to build its international P&C adjusting capabilities.
In his new role, Symonds will oversee the firm’s growing French offices, seek new business opportunities, and handle claims across France and French speaking territories, a statement from the firm said.
The new executive has almost 40 years’ experience in the adjusting industry. Although he has done most of his work in France, Symonds has also tackled claims in the UK and Belgium. In particular, Symonds has handled large and complex claims involving major industrial property, business interruption losses, machinery breakdown, product liability/recall and high profile specie and fine art losses.
“Glyn has a tremendous track record in handling large and complex losses, so his experience and knowledge of the market will be of great value to our clients as we grow our operations in France,” said Andre Jackson, managing director, property, casualty, technical & special risks.
The firm recently established a UK construction and engineering capability and has also developed its UK professional indemnity and cyber-liability adjusting teams. Jackson said it has also expanded its P&C adjusting capabilities across the US and Latin America.
