Chris Brown (pictured) has been elevated to the role of managing director for the UK, Europe, and Singapore at Charles Taylor Adjusting’s (CTA) natural resources loss adjusting business. The position is shared with Mike McMahon while John E. Donald has been appointed as the unit’s chair.

Both promoted from their posts as deputy managing director, Brown and McMahon will be in charge of the business management, growth, development, and technical leadership of CTA’s natural resources team in the UK, Europe, and Singapore.

Donald, meanwhile, has moved up from his managing director position and will be responsible for business development, market relations, and coordination between the loss adjusting hubs in Calgary, Houston, Singapore, and London.

Brown and Donald came onboard CTA a decade ago while McMahon joined in 2011.

All three report to chief executive Damian Ely, who described CTA as well positioned to serve natural resources insurers. Ely also cited signs of a positive upturn in the market following a long period of difficult conditions.

“These senior appointments mark the next stage in our continued growth and development plans,” commented the CEO. “I am delighted that John, Chris, and Mike will be taking our natural resources team forward. I am confident that they will further grow the business, expand our existing portfolio, and develop new natural resources adjusting business lines.”
