A formal search process for a new chief executive has been initiated at Moneysupermarket Group Plc.
In a regulatory filing, the price comparison giant said current CEO Mark Lewis has told the board about his intention to step down from the post. It’s been revealed that the former eBay UK managing director wants to steer his career in a new direction.
Appointed to the board in March 2017, Lewis has been at the helm of Moneysupermarket Group since April of the same year. His credentials include time spent at John Lewis, Collect+, and BCG.
As for the timing of the CEO’s departure, the company noted: “No date for this has been agreed, but Mark has said that he wishes to ensure a smooth transition to his successor.” That means Lewis is staying put until his replacement is named.
According to Moneysupermarket Group – the name behind the MoneySuperMarket, MoneySavingExpert, and TravelSupermarket brands – both internal and external candidates will be considered for the top role.
