Brokerbility has announced that Cass-Stephens Insurances has joined its network of independent brokers.

Cass-Stephens Insurances, established in 1966, is a Gloucester-based broker providing commercial insurance solutions to clients in the South West and beyond. The business employs 25 staff and operates as a chartered broker. The firm has recorded consistent growth through organic expansion and acquisitions.

Commenting on the move, John Dunn, managing director at Brokerbility said: “Cass-Stephens Insurances is another great addition to our growing community network. As a well-respected regional broker that has ambitions to grow, it is a perfect fit for Brokerbility.”

He also said that Brokerbility has had “real momentum” at the start of the year, attributing it to the appeal the company has to brokers.

“In an uncertain economic environment, Brokerbility appeals to many brokers because we can support their growth through superior insurer deals, access to an experienced team and a wider proposition unrivalled in the market,” Dunn said.

In January, Apollo Insurance Brokers also joined Brokerbility’s community network as part of its efforts towards achieving its growth objectives, including potential acquisitions. Established in 1967, Apollo serves commercial clients across the North West of England. Both firms previously operated under Bravo Networks.

“We were attracted to Brokerbility because of its enhanced proposition in terms of access to markets, insurer service and its growing affiliate partnership programme, which adds real value,” said James Cass, director at Cass-Stephens Insurances. “What’s more, Brokerbility has the ability to introduce us to new acquisition targets, which can help grow our business across the South West.”

In October 2024, Brokerbility launched a comprehensive cyber insurance proposition aimed at assisting its members and their clients in addressing the growing threat of cybercrime.

The network partnered with cyber insurance providers CFC, Coalition, and Optimum Speciality Risks (OSR), integrating Infoprotect to offer streamlined risk management services. This initiative is part of Brokerbility's affiliate partnership programme.
