Giovanni Schiattarella has come onboard managing general underwriter Carbon Underwriting Ltd.
Making the switch from his career as an insurance broker, Schiattarella will serve as an underwriter focussed on expanding Carbon’s general liability and property books of business across Europe. His remit also spans new business development.
“I am delighted to have joined Carbon and to be working with such a talented and forward-thinking team,” said Schiattarella, whose credentials include time spent at Marine Aviation & General SpA and BDB Ltd.
“The markets in Europe represent an opportunity to develop our existing books of business and new business development and we plan to do this in a measured way with a sharp focus on data-driven underwriting discipline.”
The new Carbon underwriter is keen to use his extensive experience of European insurance markets and strong network of contacts to expand the MGU’s presence across the region.
