Canopius names energy head successor

After seven years at Beazley where she was deputy head of energy, Rachel Sabbarton has made the switch to Canopius.

Appointed as senior energy underwriter, Sabbarton will initially report to Geoff Tin before succeeding him as head of energy in the summer of 2019.

Sabbarton also brings experience from Chaucer Syndicates.

“We are also extremely grateful for the exemplary service that Geoff has given to both Canopius and the wider energy market over a 40-year period,” added Southgate. “We look forward to celebrating this achievement with him next year when we will wish him a long and happy retirement.”
