Bupa Global and UK chief executive David Hynam’s (pictured) strong advocacy for diversity and inclusion (D&I) at the British insurer and healthcare group is not going unnoticed.
Hot on the heels of his inclusion on the Agents of Change power list, which was released in May, is another D&I recognition. This time it’s diversity specialist INvolve’s EMpower Ethnic Minority Advocates roster, which ranked Hynam second among senior global leaders who are dedicated to creating a more diverse and inclusive environment for ethnic minority workers.
The list of top 15 advocates was topped by Deloitte chairman Nick Owen. Also part of the line-up are Aon’s global chair of reinsurance solutions Dominic Christian in fourth spot and Financial Conduct Authority retail competition head Brian Corr at number 14.
“We employ 25,000 people across the UK who are as unique and special as the customers, residents, and patients that we serve,” said Hynam, who was nominated for championing diversity and ensuring that people of all backgrounds are offered the same growth and development opportunities.
“It’s vital that we empower advocates for inclusion at all levels, supporting them across Bupa UK to excel in their careers. I’m determined to continue to foster an open and positive working culture where we understand and celebrate people’s differences and the value that brings.”
