Brown & Brown (Europe) has announced the addition of Andrew Moss to its board of directors.
Moss, previously serving as chairman of Kentro Capital Limited, brings a wealth of experience from the insurance sector. His notable roles include finance director at the Lloyd’s market and his tenure as chief financial officer and group chief executive at Aviva plc.
“Brown & Brown has a compelling vision for its European business,” Moss said. “It has good businesses, some great people and the ability to invest in further growth. I look forward to assisting the team as they work to deliver on their future strategic plans.”
Brown & Brown (Europe), a subsidiary of Brown & Brown, Inc., functions across multiple facets of the insurance industry, including retail broking, specialist managing general agent (MGA) services, network operations, and Lloyd’s market activities.
Mike Bruce, CEO of Brown & Brown (Europe), expressed enthusiasm about Moss joining the team, highlighting the value of his extensive background in the industry. Bruce anticipates Moss’s contributions will significantly support Brown & Brown’s strategic objectives to grow and enhance operations across Europe.
Moss’s previous firm, Kentro Capital Limited, was also acquired by Brown & Brown a few months ago. It was part of an ongoing series of acquisitions for the company, the most recent of which was for Oxlea Investments, which trades as Stewart & Partners, marking a significant expansion of its operations within the UK.
In November, the firm also appointed a new retail vice president and national personal lines leader, with Caitlin Rascelles taking over the role.
December 2023 also saw the company announce its acquisition of 100% of the share capital of R McGee Insurance Brokers Limited (R McGee), a family-run personal and commercial lines broker based in Maesteg, Glamorgan.
