Global broking firm Brokerslink has today announced the appointment of Jacqueline Legrand as its new CEO, succeeding
current leader José Manuel Fonseca.
Legrand is currently chief operating officer and a board member at MDS Group, a Brokerslink reference shareholder, where she oversees business development and operations in Portugal and Brazil.
Fonseca, who is currently CEO of MDS Group, is stepping back from his role leading Brokerslink to focus his efforts on “managing the significant growth,” of MDS Group, it was announced. He will retain his role as founder and board member of Brokerslink.
Legrand has worked for Brokerslink for nine years, most recently as regional director for Europe. She was previously managing director at Crystal & Company, a Brokerslink firm, where she led the international department, and brings more than three decades of experience in global operations management and innovative broking to her new role.
“I am honoured to have this opportunity to lead Brokerslink and it has been a pleasure working closely with José Manuel during the past nine years to cement our position as a dynamic, full service global broking company,” Legrand said in a statement.
“This is an exciting time for Brokerslink as we look to further enhance our global offering and build out our specialist industry expertise and access to the world’s insurance markets.”
Departing CEO Fonseca described Legrand as an “exceptional leader,” adding that he has “no doubt that Brokerslink will continue to grow from strength to strength under her management.”
Fonseca continued: “Although I have decided to assume a non-executive role at Brokerslink, I am very much looking forward to remaining on the board of directors and being a part of shaping the future of Brokerslink.
“It has been a privilege to serve as CEO of Brokerslink, where we have grown and transformed our network into a successful broking company.”
