Broker Network has had a busy 2018 packed with acquisitions so far – and now you can add another to that list.
The UK network has this morning revealed a deal for Weald insurance Brokers, based in Westerham, Surrey. Established back in 2003, Weald focuses on property-related and commercial risks, as well as motor trade, motor and fleet insurances for high net worth individuals. It currently employs just over 40 people and has GWP in excess of £14 million.
The deal takes Broker Network’s total number of regional powerhouse acquisitions to six and Des O’Connor, the firm’s chief commercial officer, believes it is a “fantastic move.”
“It is a well-respected brand within the region, with a diversified client base made up of long-standing client relationships,” he said. “Chris Gibbs leads a high-profile team of loyal staff, whose technical approach to identifying risks strengthens their client relationships.
“A key element of our strategy is ensuring our partners continue to run their business in the way they always have. They know and understand their clients and we are simply there to support and accelerate them to the next level. Weald Insurance Brokers is a perfect example of this. They have a strong brand and close client relationships but are looking to grow. I’m excited to see what’s in store for the business over the coming months.”
Gibbs, the MD of Weald Insurance Brokers, added that he too was “thrilled” with the partnership and believes it will bring “benefit” to the company’s clients.
