Broadway Insurance Partners has reported significant growth in its client base, personnel, and financial performance during 2024, driven by service expansion and new initiatives.
The firm, which provides advisory services to high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, and well-known businesses across the UK, recorded a 31% increase in its client base this year.
According to chief executive Daniel Lloyd-John (pictured above), staff numbers rose by 20% to accommodate growing demand for its services.
The opening of a new Liverpool office in the autumn has also been a notable milestone. Lloyd-John highlighted the early success of this location, attributing it to the firm's Healthcare division, which completed its first full year of operation under director Emma Wood, generating £1.5 million in Gross Written Premiums (GWPs).
In addition, Broadway has established a new division aimed at supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), led by newly appointed team head Sam Gallimore.
"We fully expect to see yet more growth in the next 12 months as the groundwork which we have put in place pays off for clients and for ourselves as an organisation,” Lloyd-John said.
Broadway reported a 45% year-on-year increase in the number of policies arranged in 2024. The resulting growth in GWPs exceeded £12 million, representing a one-third rise. The total value of corporate and private assets insured by the firm surpassed £3 billion, marking a 50% increase compared to the previous year.
Lloyd-John stated that Broadway’s ability to offer bespoke coverage solutions rather than standardised policies has distinguished it from larger competitors. This approach has also attracted talent from those competitors, bolstering the firm’s capabilities.
The new Liverpool office, situated in the Cotton Exchange and managed by Louisa Roberts, has reportedly delivered immediate results. The Healthcare division’s achievements during its first year have also drawn attention, earning it two national award nominations.
Broadway’s growth has been recognised with the Commercial Lines Specialist Broker of the Year title at the National Insurance Awards in September.
Broadway was also commended by Insurance Business earlier this year as one of the top brokerages in the UK.
