Brit chief financial officer Mark Allan is the new chair of the finance committee at the Lloyd’s Market Association.
Allan takes over the role from Liberty Specialty Markets CFO John Dunn. Meanwhile Hermien Smeets-Flier of Aegis London is succeeding Beazley’s Martin Bride as the committee’s deputy chair.
“I am delighted to accept the role of chairman of the finance committee, whose work across multiple issues affecting the market is invaluable to LMA members,” commented Allan. “I look forward to leading the important work of the committee.”
Looking after the financial issues and requirements affecting Lloyd’s managing agents and syndicates, the committee monitors key topics and their likely impact. It also liaises with Lloyd’s senior management on matters that require practitioner input.
