Independent specialist re/insurance broker BMS has welcomed new members to its London DUA and programme division.
The company has named Richard Wynn managing director of specialty classes for the division. In addition, it has also appointed Phil Gander as divisional director and Peter Nyonyintono as a broker in specialty risks – both also joining the London DUA and programme division.
All three new hires join BMS from Marsh.
Wynn has more than 30 years of global specialty expertise; he previously worked for more than three years as managing director of Marsh Specialty following its merger with JLT Specialty, where he was a partner. Before working for Marsh, Wynn spent 18 years working for Howden – as a regional practice head in Asia, and executive director in Asia. He also once served as executive director in Howden’s Dubai office.
“We are very pleased to join BMS, bringing additional international specialty capabilities to the well-established BMS delegated authority team,” commented Wynn on his appointment. “The main attractions being the operational excellence and expertise BMS already has in place to fully service our clients efficiently, while also having the freedom to work with our insurance, reinsurance, and analytics capabilities to deliver the best solutions for the MGA sector.”
Earlier this month, BMS expanded its business in Spain with the acquisition of speciality insurance broker Eisenar. Founded in 2001, Eisenar specialises in industrial risks and professional sports insurance – Seville Football Club is among the broker’s most notable clients.
