Berkshire Hathaway Speciality Insurance (BHSI) has promoted Hilary Browne to the additional role of regional executive, UK and Europe, and Vanessa Maxwell to the additional role of country manager, UK.
In her expanded role as regional executive, Browne will work closely with BHSI head of UK & Europe Chris Colahan. She will serve as deputy head of BHSI in the UK and Europe, leading portfolio-level underwriting initiatives and business development across the region. Browne will also continue to serve as head of casualty for Europe and country manager for Ireland. She joined BHSI in 2019 and has over 20 years of insurance experience.
Maxwell will lead BHSI’s underwriting, claims, as well as customer and broker engagement in the UK in her expanded role. She joined BHSI in 2017 as head of professional indemnity & cyber liability, later being promoted to head of executive & professional lines, UK, in 2019. She will remain head of executive & professional lines in the UK, in addition to her new role.
