Jeremy Marsden has been named the new chief risk and compliance officer at
BGL Group.
Currently department head of the Financial Conduct Authority’s (FCA) large retail bank groups, Marsden will join BGL in September. Prior to the FCA, he held various senior compliance positions at Barclays, not only in the UK but internationally as well.
Marsden, who holds an MSc in Financial Regulation and Compliance Management from London Metropolitan University, has also worked as UK risk and compliance director at
RSA.
“I’m pleased to be joining BGL at such an exciting time for the Group. I’m looking forward to getting started and being part of the leadership team to take the organisation into the next phase of its development,” he said.
Meanwhile, BGL Group’s chief executive Matthew Donaldson commented that he is confident Marsden’s appointment represents further strengthening of BGL’s team which will ensure it continues to achieve the firm’s growth aspirations.
BGL Group is the owner of comparethemarket.com, affinity insurance provider Junction, and online life insurer Beagle Street.
