Insurance premium finance provider Bexhill UK has promoted business development manager Amanda Fewkes to the position of head of premium finance sales.
Based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, Fewkes will be responsible for sales development across the UK and Ireland. She will be involved in identifying new business opportunities, engaging with prospects and leading them through the sales process.
Reporting to managing director Alan Atkins, Fewkes will also be involved in marketing strategy, including exhibitions around the UK.
Commenting on the appointment, Atkins said Fewkes “has proven herself to be extremely capable.”
“A key part of our longer-term strategy is to win business with larger clients and she has been instrumental in developing relationships with several large brokers,” Atkins said. “She is exactly the sort of person we need to drive the business forward.”
Fewkes joined Bexhill as business development manager in July 2015 and has since worked with new and existing clients to promote the company’s offering and its bespoke service.
“We pride ourselves on getting to know brokers properly and understanding how we can support their future growth plans,” Fewkes said.
“We believe that this consultative approach is more in line with what brokers want from their premium finance provider and will reap benefits for both parties in the long-term,” she added.
In the last 16 years, Bexhill UK has funded over £600 million to insurance brokers, professional organisations and their clients, resulting in zero losses through careful management.
Earlier this year, the company announced that it was offering a peer-to-peer lending platform in the insurance broking market.
