Insurance veteran Neil Maidment (pictured) is now a non-executive director at Ecclesiastical.
The specialist insurer, which is under the umbrella of registered charity Allchurches Trust, will leverage Maidment’s more than 35 years of industry experience – a huge chunk of which was spent at Beazley. His 28 years at the latter featured roles such as chief underwriting officer.
“It’s great to welcome Neil to the Ecclesiastical board,” noted Ecclesiastical group chief executive Mark Hews. “Neil brings a wealth of industry experience and knowledge that will help us build on our commercial success so we can continue to protect our country’s heritage and support good causes to change people’s lives.”
Commenting on his appointment, the former CUO had this to say: “I’m delighted to be working with Ecclesiastical and it’s fantastic to be part of a business that is owned by a charity and gives its profits to good causes. It’s an exciting time to join the group and I’m looking forward to working with everyone here at Ecclesiastical.”
Maidment, meanwhile, is also an independent non-executive director at Lloyd’s of London.
