These may be times of economic uncertainty, but that hasn’t stopped one insurance broker enjoying some serious growth acceleration.
Be Wiser Insurance has only been at its Swindon offices for one year – but it has announced plans to recruit as many as 200 new staff this year.
The Hampshire-based company plans to build on its foundations in the town with chief operating officer Richard Smith (pictured) hinting at a serious recruitment drive.
“We’ve had a great first year here in Swindon and we’ve been delighted to offer so many people real career opportunities and this growth is set to continue,” he said.

“We have a strong philosophy of staff development and training at Be Wiser and some of our very first recruits are reaping the benefits of this with promotion and professional qualifications.”
Most of the new recruits will join the firm’s apprenticeship scheme as it looks to attract ambitious workers.
“We know the best people are looking for career development and the breadth of our business and training commitment means that we are well placed to attract these people,” added Smith.
Be Wiser also employs more than 600 people at its headquarters in Andover.
