Independent specialist insurance broker Ballantyne Brokers has completed its senior leadership team with the appointment of John Harris (pictured above) as chief operating officer and Will Moore (pictured below) as finance director, effective immediately and subject to regulatory approval.
Harris has an impressive track record in the management of insurance broker operations, including serving as the COO of Decus Insurance Brokers and a member of its executive committee. He also established his operation credentials during his over 25 years with Marsh.
Meanwhile, Moore is a senior financial professional who has held various senior roles in banking and venture capital in London and New York, including time at Accenture, Morgan Stanley, and, more recently, as global chief financial officer of the emerging markets group at Credit Suisse.
The two appointments aim to strengthen Ballantyne Brokers’ management further as it pursues its ambitious growth plan. The broker will announce a head of claims subject to the completion of its existing contractual obligations.
