AXA XL has named Sabrina Lahrmann (pictured) as senior underwriter, international property, UK & Lloyd’s.
As senior underwriter, Lahrmann will be responsible for helping deliver the growth of AXA XL’s international property book of business in the UK, a release said. She will also help in the development of AXA XL’s relationships with key brokers and clients.
“As our clients increasingly face evolving and more complex risks – coupled with inflationary pressures – helping them to better understand their insured values and level of cover requires an experienced partner,” commented AXA XL underwriting manager, international property, UK & Lloyd’s market Ben Kinsella.
“As we continue to profitably grow our property business in the UK, Sabrina’s 12 years’ experience at AXA UK as an underwriter and risk control surveyor – and her knowledge of European markets – will further enhance an already high-performing team.”
Lahrmann first began her insurance career at Allianz Germany in 2002, where she completed an apprenticeship before taking an insurance management agent role. She later joined AXA UK in 2010, then re-joined AXA in 2016 after having served in a strategic property account underwriting role. She has since held various senior roles within underwriting and risk control/engineering, most recently as senior business resilience manager/risk control surveyor at AXA UK.
For the first half of 2022, AXA reported that its gross revenues rose to €55 billion (approx. £42.9 billion), up 1% from H1 2021’s €53.8 billion. CEO Thomas Buberl noted that the company’s revenue growth was most evident across its health, commercial lines insurance and asset management businesses.
