Women in Finance Charter signatory AXA UK has released its 2018 numbers in terms of female representation within the firm.
It’s been revealed that of its 156 senior management staff, 51 (or 32.7%) are women as of March 01, 2019. AXA UK also reported has a strong pipeline, with 302 (38.7%) females in leader or executive roles and 588 (43.5%) in leader or senior professional roles.
As for the nine-member board of directors at the British operations, the insurer said it currently has three women members. The AXA UK management committee, meanwhile, has four female members also out of a total of nine.
“Here at AXA, we are making great strides in improving gender parity, but we still have a way to go,” said AXA UK & Ireland chief financial officer Amelie Breitburd.
“Luckily, we have a number of programmes, employee groups, and HR (human resources) policies in place to help us achieve our goals and encourage women across the company to move up the ranks.”
AXA UK is also on track to meet its 40% target – with a 10% tolerance – of senior management roles held by female colleagues by December 2020.
