UEFA Women’s EURO 2025, to be held on July 2-27 in Switzerland, has secured the backing of global insurer AXA. The sponsorship marks AXA’s deepening commitment to supporting women’s football.

“AXA is a strong supporter of women’s sport, as part of our drive for gender equality on all fronts – business, health, education, sports, and society at large,” AXA European markets & health chief executive Patrick Cohen (pictured) highlighted.

“I am incredibly proud of this sponsorship, especially as all European AXA entities pulled together to make it happen. We are thrilled to be partnering with UEFA and very much looking forward to this major international event that will bring together football fans from all over Europe.”

AXA’s engagement with women’s football extends through various initiatives, including its roles as the official training partner of Liverpool FC’s women’s team and the naming partner of the top Swiss women’s football league.

By investing in women’s football and sports broadly, AXA aims to elevate the recognition of athletes and their respective fields. The insurer’s commitment also aligns with its ‘Know You Can’ brand promise, encouraging customers to believe in their potential.

“AXA is a dedicated supporter of women’s football in Switzerland, so we are thrilled to partner with them for what will be an unforgettable UEFA Women’s EURO 2025,” UEFA marketing director Guy-Laurent Epstein noted.

“We look forward to working together to make this the can’t-miss event of next summer while also strengthening women’s football in the host country and throughout Europe.”

The championship will feature 16 teams competing in eight Swiss cities across more than 30 games, making it the biggest European women’s sports team event of 2025.

UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 is projected to attract around 500 million viewers globally. Fans will also have access to over 700,000 stadium tickets for the 31 matches.

The partnership between AXA and UEFA, financial terms of which were not disclosed, will continue through the end of August 2025.
