Atradius has appointed Alastair Divers to the role of account manager for the trade credit insurer’s UK northern hub.
With over a decade of corporate client experience, the Manchester-based Divers has worked with customers across a diverse range of sectors, including technology, healthcare, education, charity, and government. He joins Atradius from waste management company Biffa, where he served as corporate account manager.
Divers has a first-class honours degree in history and politics from the University of Leicester, and also spent a year at Université de Liège in Belgium. He earned his master’s degree in international studies and diplomacy from the University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS).
“With a great deal of interest in foreign policy, I was immediately drawn to Atradius as a professional, global outfit with extensive expertise. Across the north, there are considerable numbers of businesses trading internationally and seeking to export further afield which Atradius supports day in, day out,” commented Divers on his appointment.
“Atradius’s role is to support customers to develop robust trade strategies and manage the risks of trading both domestically and overseas. We pride ourselves on first-class service so it is imperative our team puts customers at the heart of everything we do,” said Atradius UK northern hub head of commercial Darren Power. “Alastair has a proven track record in exemplary customer service and an embedded knowledge in global affairs. We are confident he will be a valued asset to Atradius in his new appointment in the northern region.”
