International broker Arthur J.
Gallagher (AJG) has won a competitive tender to place insurance covers for universities in London.
The London market arm of AJG has secured a three-year exclusive partnership with the London Universities Purchasing Consortium (LUPC) as its insurance broker.
The deal sees the successful reappointment of AJG’s specialist UK public sector and education practice, the broker said.
It also shows AJG’s “ongoing commitment to the sector and ability to innovate to provide a broad range of insurance solutions,” said Tim Devine, the broker’s public sector and education practice managing director.
“We are delighted to have retained this prestigious account as it reaffirms our reputation as a leading insurance provider to the higher education sector,” Devine said.
The LUPC has more than 70 members and is one of the largest consortia in the sector. AJG provides risk management training, support and best practice knowledge to LUPC insurance group members.
The two organisations share an “appetite for collaborative working, generation of best value and solutions-focused services,” according to Mike Kilner, LUPC senior contracts manager.
