Lloyd’s insurer ArgoGlobal has recruited a
Zurich executive for a leadership role in a growing insurance market outside the UK.
The firm has appointed Abdul-Latif Bousaleh as head of accident and health underwriting for ArgoGlobal Underwriting Dubai.
Bousaleh will take up his role immediately and will report to Lina Hantas, ArgoGlobal Dubai’s chief underwriting officer.
Lantas said Bousaleh will help drive business growth in the Middle East and North Africa region, where there is a “clear and growing” demand for personal accident cover.
“Abdul has a proven ability to build leading books of business, an in-depth knowledge of insureds’ requirements and a network of broker contacts, which he has developed based on his expertise and commitment to the highest levels of service,” Lantas said.
“Maintaining the growth trajectory of our Middle East business requires expert underwriters who understand the market and can offer products that set us apart,” she added.
Bousaleh brings nearly a decade of underwriting experience to ArgoGlobal. He joins from Zurich Insurance, Dubai, where he served as head of underwriting for accident and health.
In that role, Bousaleh was instrumental in the development and significant growth of the insurer’s accident and health portfolio.
He also previously served as an underwriter at Chartis Insurance and as an analyst at SHUAA Capital.
