Arch Insurance UK Regional Division (Arch) has expanded its regional presence with the opening of a new office in Glasgow, part of Arch’s broader strategy to enhance its operations in the region.
The new office is situated in the Onyx Building, located in Glasgow’s central business district. The office serves as a regional hub, providing local brokers with improved access to Arch’s growing underwriting division.
The Glasgow team includes specialists across various business lines, as well as experts in complex risk and risk control.
Since the establishment of its UK Regional Division in 2019, Arch says that it has grown its underwriting team in Glasgow by 30%. The new office space, secured under a seven-year lease, underscores Arch’s ongoing commitment to expanding its operations in Scotland, with capacity for future growth.
Russell Caie, branch manager of the Glasgow office for Arch Insurance UK Regional Division, explained that the decision to move to larger premises was driven by the need to accommodate the expanding team and to facilitate more in-person interactions between brokers and underwriters.
“Given its central location and the contemporary space it offers, we believe it offers an environment that is conducive to trading,” Caie said.
Neil Peters (pictured above), national director of the branch network for Arch Insurance UK Regional Division, also noted that Arch has consistently focused on building a robust network of regional offices.
“Our Glasgow team represents expertise across the full scope of our product range, with empowered underwriters eager to trade face-to-face with brokers,” Peters said. “We believe that that regular, direct contact is core to how we continue to strengthen our broking partnerships across the UK.”
Back in June, Arch Insurance also named Roberto Tous as its new director of strategy & distribution for Europe.
