Arch Insurance’s UK Regional Division has announced two senior appointments, naming David Mann (pictured above, left) as branch manager for Colchester and Alex Turner (pictured above, right) as national production lead. Both appointments take effect immediately.

In his role as branch manager, Mann will oversee underwriting and operational activities in Colchester while working to enhance Arch’s broker service and grow its presence in East Anglia. He will report to Steve Bashford, chief executive of Arch’s UK Regional Division, and will be based in Colchester.

Mann has nearly three decades of experience in underwriting and broking in the UK insurance market. Prior to joining Arch, he was head of sales and distribution at Victor Insurance UK. Before that, he spent 10 years at Marsh, where his most recent role was head of market sales for Marsh Networks.

Commenting on Mann’s appointment, Bashford stated that Mann’s combined expertise in underwriting and broking would strengthen Arch’s Colchester team.

“I am confident that, under his leadership, we will continue our growth trajectory in the region and further increase our relevance to our broker partners,” Bashford said.

Meanwhile, in the newly created position of national production lead, Turner will work with underwriting, claims, and transformation teams across Arch’s branch network to refine the company’s product offerings and strengthen partnerships.

Turner, who is also based in Colchester, will also report to Bashford in this role.

Turner brings over 20 years of experience in the UK insurance market and was previously the Branch Manager for Arch’s Colchester operations, having joined the company in 2022 from AXA.

“Alex’s leadership skills and track record of embedding operational efficiency make him a perfect fit for this new position. He will play a central role in ensuring a unified approach throughout our branch network, enabling us to provide even greater value to our brokers and their clients,” Bashford said.
