ARAG has been tapped by Which? to provide a free legal and tax advice service as well as a confidential mental wellbeing helpline to members of the independent consumer body’s Trusted Traders network.
“We recognise that there can be many difficulties and pressures involved in running a small business,” noted Which? Trusted Traders managing director Raj Kakar-Clayton. “We want to support our traders with their legal, tax, and wellness issues so they can then focus more of their energy on providing the best possible service to their customers.
“Mental health awareness and assistance is a key part of the way that Which? helps its own staff to thrive. As skilled traders are at particular risk of experiencing these issues, we want to extend this policy to the traders that we endorse. The wellness helpline will give Which? Trusted Traders and their families a direct route to support their wellbeing.”
Meanwhile the legal expenses and emergency assistance provider is “obviously very pleased” with the tie-up, said ARAG corporate business manager George Bladon.
Available to all employees in the Which? Trusted Traders business, the wellbeing helpline will allow callers to open up about issues like bereavement or addiction problems, while the separate legal helpline is ready to field queries about any aspect of British or European Union law as well as the company’s UK tax affairs.
