Aqueous Underwriting has announced the appointment of William Hall as senior development underwriter.
Hall joins the MGA specialist after working as an associate director at professional indemnity (PI) and liability broker Brunel Professions. He has over three decades of experience in the PI and financial lines sector, having started his career at Royal Sun Alliance. He also launched a startup MGA called PU Protect, which was later acquired by Barbican Insurance.
“I’m pleased to welcome William to the growing team at Aqueous,” said Terry Shaw, head of PI at Aqueous. “His track record and experience speak for themselves, he’s a strong addition to the team. With five ‘A’ Rated capacity backers, increased limits available and a growing underwriting team, we provide a compelling offering to our brokers.”
Hall’s appointment is “aimed at building on new business opportunities in the regional market,” a statement from the company said.
Aqueous writes PI for a broad range of trades and professions. It secured an increase in its PI capacity earlier this year, with cover available for limits up to £15 million.
