The head of energy, power and utilities at Barbican Insurance Group has now made the jump across to loss adjustor AqualisBraemar.
Olivier Decombes (pictured) joins the firm as director of loss adjusting, based in London and serving both the African and European markets. His experience includes not only his time at Barbican, but also a 12-year career with Schlumberger as a field engineer, moving into the energy insurance market with Infrassure Ltd., and subsequently holding positions with CV Starr in both Paris and London.
According to Allan Kelly, managing director of AqualisBraemar’s adjusting division in Europe and West Africa, Decombes offers experience in both the oil field and underwriting and boasts a deep technical and commercial understanding of the sector.
“In December we launched an international recruitment drive to ramp up our adjusting business serving all aspects of the oil, gas, power and engineering sectors,” he said. “Olivier’s appointment is part of that continuing campaign. We will add further new members to the team soon.”
The loss adjustor focuses on the energy, shipping and insurance industries.
